Boosty × Utexo: Canton Is Now on the Bridge

$8 trillion in on-chain real-world assets. $350 billion in daily repo transactions. Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Börse, Microsoft, Deloitte among the backers. Chainlink onboarded as a Super Validator just weeks ago. Canton Network is ranked #17 on CoinMarketCap with a market cap above $5.8B — and it launched less than two years ago.

So here’s what’s missing: cross-chain access. Despite Canton’s growth, very few bridges have moved to integrate it. The network is scaling fast, but the infrastructure to move assets in and out of it has barely kept up.

Utexo Bridge just changed that.

Canton is now live on Utexo Bridge — making it one of the first cross-chain bridges to support transfers to and from the Canton Network. The full list of supported chains includes Bitcoin, BNB, Crossfi, Tron, Concordium, Celo, Kujira, Stellar, and Canton.

Canton’s ecosystem is expanding beyond institutional players. Utexo, with the support of Boosty Labs, is now running a live node on the network and is listed as a featured app — adding cross-chain bridge infrastructure to a network that until recently had almost none.

Worth noting what makes Canton different from the usual L1 additions. Canton was built from the ground up for institutional finance — privacy at the protocol level, compliance-ready architecture, governed by the Canton Foundation under the Linux Foundation. In February 2026, a consortium including LSEG, Euroclear, Citadel Securities, Tradeweb, and DTCC completed cross-border intraday repo transactions on Canton using tokenized Gilts. This is live institutional infrastructure, and the demand for cross-chain access to it will only grow.

For those unfamiliar with Utexo — it’s a cross-chain bridge and Bitcoin-based settlement network built around private USDT payments via Lightning and RGB. The project was co-founded by Viktor Ihnatiuk, Founder and Managing Partner at Boosty Labs. In March 2026, Tether co-led a $7.5M seed round for Utexo — and the team recently shipped RGB support for Tether’s Wallet Development Kit as part of the  CTDG Dev Hub ecosystem. The  first Ethereum-to-RGB bridge for USDT via Lightning also came out with support from the Boosty Labs team.

Adding Canton to the bridge was a logical move. The cross-chain ecosystem is still catching up to what Canton has become, and Utexo — built by Boosty Labs blockchain development — is among the first to close that gap. Running a node, shipping a featured app, and providing bridge access — all at once.

When a network processes $350B in daily volume and most bridges still don’t support it, someone has to go first. We’ll continue expanding network support.
